SUCCESS is SET!
Community Resource Council (CRC) hosts its beloved annual Set for Success event Wednesday, Aug. 28th, at Boothbay Region Elementary School (BRES) 4:30 - 6:00pm.
This community event is for students in PK-8th grades, who attend school at Boothbay Region Elementary School, Edgecomb Eddy School, Southport Central School, or are homeschooled and are registered for homeschooling with one of those schools.
Excited students rush to their friends, talked about their summer breaks, meet their teachers and get stocked up on all their necessary school supplies. In all, CRC estimates about 300 students take part in the event.
“This event is another example of what makes the region so special. All these community partners coming together to ensure our kids are ‘Set for Success.’”
- Robert Kahler, AOS98 Superintendent
MAKE your MARK
Set for Success fundraising efforts allows each child who attends our schools the ability to start school with needed gear and a fun, welcome back event to help set each child up for a successful school year.
Your continued support helps us make our community stronger.
“Kids are off to a great start to the school year, and no one is left out due to financial barriers.”
- Peter Gardner, Community Resource Council
FOOD for THOUGHT
A community barbecue is held at BRES for all BRES, EES, and SCS families.
Many of our community resources and organizations are in attendance to provide you with information on the supportive resources we have throughout our community.
“This event is my favorite of the year. I remember my very first year at BRES when the event was at the YMCA. I stood at the top of the track overlooking the field house and nearly cried at the amazing display of community in front of me. It was unlike anything I had seen in my previous schools. It’s truly special and unique to this community.”
- BRES Principal Shawna Kurr
